Imagine Me

The reason why I decided to name my blog the Imagine Me Project is because I've been through a lot in my life; it was hard to see me, to "imagine me." I am confident in the fact that the only reason why I've survived is because of God. I'm a work in progress. When I first heard the song Imagine Me by Kirk Franklin, I was moved, humbled, grateful, but most of all I felt hopeful. I know that God is with me and that my past is exactly what it is; my past. Each day is a new day no matter what the day before was like. Right now there's a lot going on and I feel very overwhelmed, but as I was working out Imagine Me played on my ipod and I felt a little bit of peace.
It's actually funny, but I've always believed my sister and I were so different. However, the older we get, I realize we're not that different. The other day I called her and the song she had on her phone was Imagine Me. My sister is really into music/ lyrics and finds meaning in them, so I was surprised she even knew the song, let alone put it on her phone. So tonight I am going to call her and ask her what made her use this particular song.

Breaking Dawn

I can't believe how fast this week has gone by; tomorrow is Friday! Last Friday we had a Breaking Dawn midnight party. If you're looking for a book to read, try the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. A lot of people love the series...it's one of those series you either love or hate. I personally loved the first book, thought the second was okay, haven't read the third, and just bought the fourth. Anyhow here's a couple of pictures from the party.

here I am being attacked by the werewolf (aka Jacob) (aka Deanna)

the werewolf and the Neverending Story girls

There are more pictures, but they are on the camera at work. I'll try and download them, but no promises.

Results

Okay here is the picture of my new gocco printer--I love it so much!!!

Here are the results of my first attempt. It was fun, but the cleanup was a little messy.

The pictures aren't that clear and I'm not sure if it's me or the camera (maybe it's a little of both). The cards look really good in person, but I haven't decided what to do with them. Oh, I can put them in small bundles and give them as gifts. I already have ideas for my next project.

I Got a Gocco Printer!

Last Friday was a long day for me. I worked all day at my store and it was very slow. We have been open for a little over 2 yrs. and Friday was our worst sales day EVER! It was so sad.
When I got home I went to the front door (I was expecting a package to arrive on Monday) in hope that my package would come early. Low and behold, my package arrived! How exciting! Now I didn't have to go through the weekend longing for my new toy-the PG5 Gocco Printer. I'll post a picture later. I'm so in love.
I've been wanting to learn how to do screen printing for awhile and somehow stumbled upon the Gocco in my research. I wanted one, but I didn't want to spend the money for it and then when I finally caved and decided to buy one, I couldn't find one. The company Riso that makes them decided to no longer make the Gocco.
In June we went on vacation to Portland (beautiful place) and I looked for one, but could not find one and tried to find one locally here in Las Vegas without success. You can find some new and used machines on Ebay, but it is really hard to win. I finally found someone that had a few in stock in California. Hip Hip Hooray--I got my gocco--! I made my first screen and prints Sunday night so I will post about that experience later. All is well now.

Daniel V.

Okay I am so sorry (not that anyone is reading this besides me hee hee) I didn't post my Daniel V. pictures the day after my last post, but now here they are:

Isn't he just the cutest thing? Not only was he cute, but super nice. Oh I just love this picture!

Daniel has a book-Fashion Inside Out-coming out this fall...I think in October. He was in LA meeting and signing posters for book people (gotta promote that book!) like myself at the annual Book Expo. I'm looking forward to his release. Love ya Daniel!

Project Runway Tonight

I almost had a catastrophe on my hands! A couple of my girlfriends and I have been trying to set up a time to hang out, catch a movie, or whatever. Well, tonight was going to be that night, but unfortunately one girl couldn't make it. My response when I found out was that it just wasn't meant to be tonight. And as disappointed as I was, I'm so relieved because tonight is the season premiere of PROJECT RUNWAY! I would have had a melt down had I missed this. So at 9pm tonight I have a date with the Bravo channel and I'm soooo excited I can hardly stand it. Oh, tomorrow I will have to post my pictures of me (yes, me) and Daniel V. at Book Expo last month.

I FiNaLlY DiD It!!!

I decided to go ahead and create my own personal blog. By exploring the world of blogs I have dicovered new, cool, and exciting things from people that share and allow us to peek at some of their life experiences. I'm at a point in my life where I want to do the same.
This is going to be my place where I can just share a little of my own experiences and to get out whatever randomness that's on my mind. Honestly, I think I'm going through a mid-life crisis. Is this possible when you're in your 30's?
